Cut a strip about six yards wide up the ridge of Main Wedge Spur starting at foot + got about 1/3 way up full width + doing

a narrower track another third. After dinner rode Fanny + went firing scrub. Swept south + east sides of Connecting Spur also a spur running south from Up[per] Rav[ine] Spur, the south face (top part) of Ohau Summit + the largest wedge spur north of Up. Rav. Spur. Fires went well + will thin the stuff out even if they do not burn clean. Sparks fired many logs owing to the drought + there should be a good clean up of logs. In evening continued repairing the whare chimney.
