With George + Clifford's help we carted gig up to my shed, first removing wheels + axle. At 9.30 Vivien + I rode up to Sonoma + stoked + lit fires on "1st" + "2nd burns" especially about the junction + did very good wprk. At 4.30 Clif [sic] joined us + we all went for a bathe in the great pool at Horse-shoe Bend. Water fine + warm - Viv + Clif [sic] are as much at home in the water as fish. The hot dry weather continues, to-day with a good easterly breeze. Maud was up all the afternoon + to tea + is doing splendidly - also Baby.
