Maud drove Gerty down to Wellington train. Rode up to Sonoma - moved ewes + lambs from Mill p[addock] to Leighton p. Four-tooth ewe cast lambing + will die, 3 dead lambs. Shepherded 100 ac[re] p. - dead steer on summit West Low Hill - took off hide - 2 ewes dead upper Camp spur - plucked one, the other too far gone. At 3.30 continued re-erecting Pam p. fence - put in remaining 3 posts + started battening. Put 44 steers from 100 ac. to Mill p., one missing as well as the one dead.
