Overview
Leslie Adkin is a farmer in the Horowhenua region, and manages two properties near Levin. He also works with his father William, his brother Clifford, and their labourer George Bloomfield on the family farm, Cheslyn Rise. Farming activities this month include fencing, clearing land, laying pipe drains, sowing grass seed, mustering and shepherding, lambing, docking, and attending stock sales.
Leslie lives with his wife Maud at 'Woodside,' their newly-built home, and the couple continue to make improvements to the house and garden. They enjoy frequent visits from friends and family, are regular church-goers, and travel often to Levin for shopping and entertainments. In quieter moments, Leslie reads novels and indulges his love of photography.
