Rode up to Sonoma + hilltop. Joined Mr. Triss + we prepared my north boundary fence on hilltop putting on about 60 battens + 1/2[symbol required] doz[en] posts. Inspected fence right down to flats + found it sound. Fence on terrace + slope down to road very bad. Cut + split 10 hinau posts. Walked up to hilltop via "Grange" p[addock] gully to look for possible dead steers + to get Fanny. Home rather late.
