Tues. Aug. 22.
Father, George, + I rode up to South Block - finished benching out track over East Creek, cleared flat beyond East Creek. While at lunch saw my first lambs this season, twins with the ewe on the top of Nemo Spur. After work went over to Sonoma on wire bridge

to put 2 more steers from Top p[addock] into 100 ac[re] p. Saved a ewe caught in lawyer + saw another ewe with a single lamb. Inspected upper end of Ohau River fence (portion erected by Andrew) + found it very rotten + damaged by punga etc. blown down by the gale. Cold frosty night - sky clear.
