Rode up to Sonoma - searched for missing steer in Mill p[addock] till 10.30 but without success. Went up to hilltop + started clearing line for fence from east b[oun]d[ar]y to top of Main Wedge Spur (4 1/2 required] chains, accross "2nd burn"). Heavy work on acc. of big logs + tops of rimu + birch massed together but made some progress. Maud in bed all day with a cold so my time is fully occupied.
