Tues. July. 18.
Rode up to Sonoma - went round shepherding via Leighton p[addock], hilltop + down by Ravine Spurs. Inspected east b[oun]d[ar]y fence. Could find no trace of the two missing steers on hills. There is also one missing on Mill p. Started work on 100 ac[re] p. north fence at 11.15 am - cleared most of line, dug end strainer hole + cut two lengths of battens (rimu). Also made several crossings over streams at foot of Main Wedge Spur.
