Got a message from Kingdon re some rams for sale in Ohau so motored down with him to see them. Kebbel's rams + good stuff - purchased 2 2-tooths at 3 g[ui]n[ea]s each. Rain started at 9 + continued rest of day. After dinner Father, George + I took my 394 ewes + 8 rams

(one missing from far 42) up to Sonoma + left them on Mill p[addock]. Ohau River in high flood but not much water in Makahika.
