Father + I rode up to South Block - moved lambs + 45 bullocks from Terraces to Intake p[addock]. Inspected lower ford over East Creek with view to improving. During the gale on night of 18th inst. the fires swept over the whole of the South Block burning logs + fern + clearing up the place splendidly. On return home carted my grass-seed etc. from Cheslyn Rise to my house ready for taking up river tomorrow.
