Up at 5.30 - at 7 set out for Sonoma with cart. On arrival mustered the 127 ewes into yards, dagged + doctored couple lame ones + put them on Leighton p[addock]. Got together a big lot of timber of various description to take down to home. After dinner went firing on Ohau Flat, East Low Hill + finally the cut scrub on Combine Spur - all fires went very well it being a grand day + good east wind - Combine Spur swept clean, the fire eating into adjacent scrub. Also fired on top Skyline Spur. Saw 31 of the 36 steers. Also a group of 8 weaner wild pigs. Returned to whare loaded up timber + then home. Fine windy night.
