Helped Father draft the 2-tooth ewes + wethers mustered yesterday - he took out 250 of the best ewes for his own flock + then I picked out 127 for my flock - I paid 25/- for the first 110 + 21/- for remaining 17. After dinner drove my 127 ewes up to Sonoma, losing one on road on acc. of being alone + having to go forward to clear away Kay's sheep. Found 17 more of my steers on Kay's + got them into Mill p[addock] - left ewes on flat inside gate, mustered the 36 steers + took them over to Top p. via Ohau Flat. Home after dark - Dearest had the usual lovely tea for me but we were too tired to lay kitchen lino.
