Tues. Feb. 29.
Up early - mustered ewes + lambs on Leighton p[addock]. Father arrived to help me finished [sic]. Then we mustered the whole mob into yards for culling ewes + drafting off lambs. Mustered 345 ewes (including one of Narby's), 323 lambs + took out 86 cull ewes. Tress came down + claimed compensation for two lambs which got into my mob last winter, so I am to pay him 11/- each = 22/-. Got through by 2.45

+ Father helped me drive the cull ewes + all the lambs down to Cheslyn Rise. Put them in sheep-yards for night + rode back to whare. Found another ewe + lamb on Mill p. (missed earlier in day) + there are two other lambs on hills so tally is as follows:
