Sat. Feb. 12.
Maud accompanied me + we hung the three gates on 100 ac[re] p[addock] east fence. A good south wind sprang up at midday so I fired the scrub + sour fern I recently cut on south side of Kopje + got a good burn. Shore the three pairs of straggler wooly ewes + lambs. At 3.30 drove down to Levin for shopping - tea at the "Taieri" - drove back to Sonoma (Maud's name for the North Block) after dark.
