Tues. Feb. 8.
Early breakfast - went over to South Block to see Grange re scrubbing, showing him what I want him to do on my end. Cut sour fern on Ohau Flats till 11 am. Then went firing on lower Leighton Spur + in gully beyond + after dinner on Top + 100 ac[re] paddocks.

Results only fair in spite of hot day + good chance. Maud had quite a batch of visitors to afternoon tea - Mrs. Prouse + Miss Sedcole + Clare, Agnes + Viv. Read "Eyes of the World" by Harold Bell Wright.
