Country saturated + creeks + river in high flood. The cattle in near 42 have been knocking my house site fence about to such an extent that I decided to finish it as far as possible so put in day - putting in rest of posts less 10. Stays, + straining up wires, 2 barb + 2 plain. Stormy day but just got through. Rode to Levin in evening + had a long talk with Mrs. Lancaster + Amy in town.
