Started pulling foxgloves at 7.30 doing rest of West Low Hill, all East d[itt]o. + spurs beyond 100 acre p[addock] fence from continuation Ohau Flat to Foxtail Spur. Found another missing steer , a red, dead on east edge East Low Hill - under a log. Dinner at whare at 12.30. Heavy rain all afternoon so rode down to Makahika b[oun]d[ar]y fence + started putting on battens. Home for night. Rode to Levin to see Mr. Whitaker - he is to start building the house next week.
