Drafted out 30 steers, leaving 10 on Mill p[addock] + left at 8.30. Let them feed on roadside + reached saleyards at 11.30. Very poor sale + no cattle buyers present so I did not get a bid. Clifford helped me take the steers back to North Block - put them on Mill p. with 5 others, putting other 5 out into Leighton p.. Home at 8pm. Today Father + I visited Mr. Park's office + gave him particulars for a lease agreement between Father + myself for the North Block - this will not be a properly registered lease but will be a legal document quite suitable under the circumstances - the cost is to be £2.3.0.
