Jack + I went up to 100 acre p[addock] east fence + cleared line on slope leading down to Main Ravine stream. Very heavy rain came on so we had to retire + spent rest of day in stable sorting timber + making a gate. Counted steers in Mill

p. (38 there now) + rode home for the night. Mrs. Pearson staying with us. Rode to Levin in evening + interviewed Mr. Whitaker - he gave me the plan, elevations + sections of my future house.
