Docked 160 lambs of the "young" ewes. Took four hides down to Bulliman's slaughterhouse in dray + worked in Cow p[addock] logging up. In evening went over to rear 42 + put in the first pile of the shed I am going to erect. It is to be 13ft. 6 inches square, lean-to shape, studs 7ft + 8ft 6 inches, + will be a cow-shed + temporary trap-shed combined. Mr. + Mrs. Edmonds returned to Wgton [Wellington]. S. Hodson came up in the evening - he goes to school studies in Wgton on Friday next.
