Dagged 150 hoggarts [sic] for tomorrow's sale. Docked 124 lambs of "old" ewes. Spent rest of day

stumping in Cow p[addock]. Got from Father enough 4x1 1/8 rimu timber to make a gate for the entrance of my future homestead on Queen St. in near 42. After work cut + sledged hinau piles to front of near 42 where I intend to erect a cow shed anytime now. Read "On With Torchy" by Sewell Ford.
