Up early + put in strainer for gate at west end of Cow p[addock]. Picked out 150 hoggarts [sic] from "turnip" lot for next sale - Father finds it necesary to further reduce stock on acc[ount] of sale of

sect[ion] 37. Stumping + logging up in Cow p[addock]. On Father's guarantee, Dalgety + Co have agreed to permit me to increase my acc[ount] with them to £1100 (if necessary); this will enable me to finance my house on sect. 42 + to purchase stock for the 30 acres of sect. 42 which I am to take over shortly. I am to give them a stock lien which is usual insuch cases.
