Rode up to North Block to camp. Cut, trimmed + sledged to near whare, three good rimu strainers from near bridge over Matahika. Spent rest of morning getting remaining good timber from old tramline which runs along

side Gladstone Road north of sheep-yards. After dinner finished block-fence + gate at south end of Ram p[addock] + started cutting down cliff + making culvert just alongside.
