Father + I rode up to South Block to shepherd stock. Pig-rootings on spur tops near south b[oun]d[ar]y of

block - saw pigs just retiring + gave chase, killing one with the aid of the dogs just inside edge of bush. Father + I rode up to North Block to have a look round. Entered by Ohau gate + returned via Gladstone Road. Grass is getting short but ewes in good order - a few lambs have arrived. Saw all the 30 steers on Mill p[addock] + the 8 rams (one ram is on Ohau Flat).
