Rode up to North Block to camp. Took a

coil of barb wire up to hilltop + went on clearing fence-line alongside "2nd burn". Carried out 9 posts + put them in, this makes another 3 1/4 chains. Put 13 steers from south end on to Mill p[addock] making 15. In evening read "Kenilworth" by Sir W. Scott. Terrific gale of wind during night - an easterly but from NW at whare, which creaked in great style.
