Thurs. June. 10.
Rode up to North Block + went round both ends shepherding. Saw 38 of the 68 steers - they look all right so far except a white one which I put out, with another, in Mill p[addock]. The ewes are looking very well indeed + are well apread about. Went up to hilltop + went on clearing line for east bdy [boundary] fence alongside "2nd burn" (southern end) + did about 5 chains. Found the sick ewe on Mill p. dead so plucked it. Home for night.
