Overview
Mon. May. 17.
Got in th UR lambs, dagged, drafted + dipped them, putting some on the turnips in 10 1/2ac[re] p[addock]. Worked at drains in Cow p[addock]. The time for me to enlist to join in the war with Germany at the Dardanelles or elsewhere seems to be drawing near. Received news of following Levin boys wounded at Dardanelles:- Bryan Palmes, George France, A. Gray, + one or two others with whom I am not acquainted.

The wires are strained up from D to E + ready for some from E to F. I have to put in 16 more posts from F to G. My Father + staff helped me to clear the line form B to C. When I have finished the part DEFG, I will go to A + put up fences, working to C,B + G. From A towards C the clearing of the fence-line will not be so difficult.
