Rain during night so unable to crutch Father's ewes. Scott + I rode up to North Block + continued work at last bdy [boundary] fence alongside "1st burn." Split, trimmed + carried out 17 hinau posts (splendid for log, very good splitter) + put some in. Strained up wires to the 11 chain mark. At 3.30 we mustered ewes (excepting some on "burn") on Leighton p[addock] + put them in Ram p. for the night. Counted 22 steers on Mill p. Scott returned home + I stayed at whare for the night. Rain.
