Weather apparently clearing so Scott + I went up to east bdy [boundary] fence alongside "1st burn" - sawed two more length of hinau for posts + also couple of logs on line. Then down came a deluge of rain - had dinner under a leaning tree + then returned, riding home about 2.30 pm. First list of casualties of New Zealanders in the campaign agains the Turks on the Gallipoli Peninsula near the Dardanelles.
