Drizzly showers all day. Started drenching Elder lambs (8/3 lot) before breakfast - had to finish in woolshed on ac[ount] of rain. Did some logging up in Cow p[addock]. Put out the "UR" rams (9) to the "UR" ewes (330) + Father + I rode round shepherding. Found the "old" + "cull" ewes mixed up because of a gate being blown open so at 5 pm had to muster + draft, finishing at 6.20. Warm day + good for growthh of grass but cold in evening. Three cruisers (2 British + 1 French) of the Allied Squadron which has been successfully bombarding the Turkish forts in the Dardanelles, have been sunk by drifting mines.
