Put 172 ewes + their lambs on 100 ac[re] + Top paddocks before breakfast. Hook did not turn up but Father + Gil + Andy arrived + we cut half the patch of scrub left by Grange for us on top of trunk Spur. Very heavy work - huge wineberry, fern, bracken + lawyers. To Levin in evening. Gil, Clif + I to supper.
