Heavy rain in night. D. S.+ A. Morgan finished shearing lambs a 11.30. Handed over cheque for £6. Father + Andy went up to South Block to shepherd. Took a photo of my sheep in Drive p[addock] (My first year's flock of ewes + lambs after being shorn at Cheslyn Rise + ready to go back to N[orth] Bl[ock]). After dinner at 1.30 Clif + I started off with the mob. Father + Andy meeting us on Gladstone Road. reached N.Blk at 4.10 - this time the sheep went over the suspension bridge nicely. Father + I went up to see Hook scrubbing on terraces in Mill p. north of stable + worked with him for an hour stopping at 6.10 pm. Father left for home + after a snack at whare I worked at big drain which is to tap the "sawdust swamp" using a drag (with good effect) which I have borrowed from Mr
