Still raining at daybreak + kept on till about midday. Worked in stable stacking timber etc. When weather cleared unearthed + logged up to rata stump in sheep-yards ready for burning. Started the big drain which is to tap the pond + swamp on flat by the sawdust from old mill. Rain recommenced in evening. Margie returned from the trip to Waimate.
