While at breakfast at 6.45 received a request from Mr. Tress to clear my cattle away from Gladstone Road as he was expecting a mob. I mustered all mine except one of the £2.40 lot + searched for it a couple of hours + finally found it up by the Narby's fence with some of his cattle. Shepherded the South End + saw all the big steers - sheep looking well + grass good. Finished pulling foxgloves in Ram p[addock] + had another go at rata stump in sheep-y[ar]ds. We saw Narby's cattle arrive - a hube mob of about 150, mostly Herefords. After dinner started pulling foxgloves on Leighton's Spur. After work walked up hill on Stuckery's Side to N[orth] W[est] corner of North Block - decided how far up hill to go with the scrubbing - my

hills are pretty steep on this side, but Narby's are awful many of the spurs ending in precipitous bluffs. A good view of the North Block is obtained from this side. Grange finished cutting the bush (2nd contract) on hilltop yesterday. PLAN HILLS STUCKEY'S SIDE.
