Spent the day pulling foxgloves on flat + terrace at foot of Leighton p[addock] - three huge dense patches

one of which took us nearly half a day - we must have pulled tens of thousands + my nails suffered considerably. In evening unearthed the big rata stump in sheep-yards + got portion out. Young Trueman worked rather well - slowly but thoroughly + steadily.
