Overview
Tues. Sept. 22
Beautiful day, very hot. Up at 6am + started work at 7. Plucked two ewes + mustered Mill p[addock]. Father, Uncle Bert + Gil arrived at 9.45. We went up to Ohau Summit + mustered about 20 ewes + lambs off south end. On return to yards docked 112 lambs - 164 ewes. After dinner put this lot back on south end + mustered Leighton p. There were also about a dozen lambs too young to dock. The percentage done was 65.59%. We found two more dead ewes - one on foot of Upper Ravine Spur + on near main gate of Leighton p.
