Anstice + I rode up to North Block to camp. Moved the 82 ewes (less 4 with lambs) off Mill p[addock] back to Leighton p. Mustered steers off south end, torching cut fern on upper part of Track + Skyline Spurs as we went along – got 25 steers – left one behind, plus 4 on Mill p + 2 in Kay’s = 32 + 3 we did not see. Shepherded ewes on south end + found one dead, cast lambing. A fair number of lambs about now. After dinner worked at sheep-yards, putting in posts for dagging pen, very bad sinking. After work started putting corrugated iron on my whare.
