Anstice + I rode round shepherding + afterwards worked at Cow-CK p[addock] fence. Rode down to see Tomlinson about planting my Pinus Muricata hedge + he promised to come to-morrow at 9 am. In evening rode to Levin on young horse. The Germans are still being repulsed with terrible losses on their attempt to invade Belgium at the town of Leige. It now seems to be quite evident that the Kaiser is quite insane + as a result thousands are going to their death.
