Spent morning map drawing. Mr Kay + Mr Hodson came to dinner. Spent a pleasant time in the bush, which looked beautiful, during the afternoon. Church in evening – Uncle Bert came up to supper – + we had a regular council of war. A heavy rain storm came on about 10 pm so Mr Kay stayed with us all night. At 1 am I had to turn out to get horses off lawns + out of orchards.
