A showery day. Put in the five strainer posts + four corner posts between foot Main Spur + Ohau R[iver] fence (for 100 ac[re] p[addock] east fence). Heavy rain after 3pm so got wet through. Home for night. Clare, Gil + I drove down to lecture on No-License by Mr. Bedford, ex-MP. An excellent speaker something like Rev. Dawson in delivery, but resembling in appearance Winston Churchill. He dealt with the financial aspect of the liquor question. Saw that one of my ewes has a lamb - probably one of McDonald's - which explains the matter.
