Fri. June 12.
Fine day. Anstice + I again up to North Block to camp. Went straight up to Ohau Summit. Split 16 posts out of hinau log in bush + cleared a track out to the fence line for sledging. Took a photo of splitting posts in the bush + one of some work on Ohau Summit. Cut two lengths of battens off the honeysuckle tree. Left top at 3.30pm + mustered my ewes off South End to Leighton p[addock] - counted

315 + 3 on Leighton p. + 4 left behind, so 5 short. The weather the last few days has been very mild + the grass is comming up well on all the "burns."
