Put up cyclone fence across turnips in CK.p. ready for hoggarts(sic)- the area of this (the first) cut is about 21/2 acres. Mr Bulliman bought 41 fat weathers (2-tooth) at 19/6. Father & I went round the ewes & found one dead on Terrace (medium ewes) & one nearly on sick 37 (UK ewes) -I skinned the latter. Received two charmimg letters from Maud - Mr & Mrs Herd in their kindness, have actually suggested furnishing our home for us when we get married.
