All up to North Block to cut scrub - worked at a block in saddle at junction of Main Spur + West Low Hill. A foot suspension bridge has been erected across the Makahika R[iver] near main entrance gate to N[orth] Bl[oc]k - framework of jarrah + flooring of rimu - stone groynes have all been built near by to check erosion by river. I put up at entrance gate warning persons not to remove timber etc from the property has been smashed + taken away. Rode to Levin in evening. Took photos (1) general view of East + West low hills, N[orth] Bl[oc]k from Sky-line spur showing scrubbing in progress. (2) Father self + others cutting scrub at foot of main spur.
