Gil, Jim, Anstice + I rode up to North Block + put in day felling the thin end of the wedge-shaped patch of bush on hilltop. (Grange stopped work on the other end of the bush block a few days ago and was paid for 19 acres.) I had a run of bad luck to-day: – Lost a slasher split open my boot, got a nasty cut on the nose from a flying wood chip, + got a bad blood-blister on hand. We did a good area + hope to finish the area decided on in another days work. After work helped Mr Kay put in a strainer on our west boundary fence.
