Jim + I rode up to North Block + continued scrubbing on east boundary fence-line on Ohau Summit. I found that we had reached the junction of old + new east boundary lines, so we commenced felling the thin end of the wedge-shaped block of bush on hilltop – fairly light bush but difficult felling on acc[ount] of myriads of supple-jacks, so did not get very far. After Jim left I rode across from “Dirty Flat” to main entrance gate shepherding. Cattle doing fair, hoggarts very well but some of the ewes + lambs appear to be going off. Grass over whole block rather short – perhaps not surprising considering number of stock: 500 ewes, hoggarts + lambs + 60 head of cattle.
