Up at 6 am – steady rain falling – Jim + I mustered the 25 UR steers + took them

down to sale. Home to breakfast. Jim + I took 30 fat wethers to sale, these fetched 23/9. We did not sell steers. Father bought 22 black polled angus 15 months cattle (12 steers 10 heifers) at £4.3.0. I bought a weaner pig @ 18/-. In afternoon rode over to Kawiu Road to take photos of house etc but weather was too bad – wind + rain – so had afternoon tea with Maud, Mrs Herd + Ralph. Maud sweet as usual. Uncle tea came to tea + spent evening. Wet night.
