A very successful day. Father, Gil, Anstice, CLif + I (on bike) rode up to South Block to dock. Mustered 123 ewes off terraces + docked 121 lambs. after lunch Anstice + I rode down to Ohau River + at lower end of gorge constructed a temporary bridge in half an hour - 2 long tawa stringers with boards tacked on + covered with

sand. The others drove down the 123 ewes + docked lambs + we got them over bridge in 20 minutes + then up terrace on North Block where there is [an abundance] of feed. The South Block is very bare + ewes going off. We took bredge to pieces + put up on river bank. I then stoked up fire in big rata log on my track + made a bridge over a swampy stream. Left for home 5.30. Mr + Mrs Cork + Miss Wilson came to tea.
