Jim, Gil + I drove 25 steers + 60 fat wethers to Levin sale – did not sell steers but got 26/- for wethers (less 2/6 per head for 2 ewes). Father bought 2 steers

(yearlings) from Mr Kay at 45/- per head. Kay got £4.1.0 for a line of well bred [sic] yearling steers bred on UR farm. Met Maud in town + took her to afternoon tea.
