Father, Gil + I rode round all ewes – in the “young” ewes on sect[ion] 37 we found 17 dead lambs, six or more of which had been killed by the young horse running there. Spent rest of day carting manure from sheep-yards to trees in orchard. After work went on making suspension bridge over Koputaroa Stream below shrubbery. In evening, Mother, Clare,
