Very dull day – showery. Put new washers on wheels of trap. Father, Gil, Jim + I mustered 292 UR ewes from sect[ion] 37 for culling + dagging – Father + I did former + Jim + Gil the latter – 6-tooth of good Romney type for UR; Lincolny [sic] ditto for “medium” lot; + full mouth for “old” lot + culls. Did not finish as rain came on + raddle ran too much. Kay came

+ dipped 533 sheep – he to go on in rain when he had once started. Developed 10 more plates of Napier-Taupo trip – good results.
